Start point: Sarver Hollow Shelter
End point: Pickle Branch Shelter
miles hiked: 16.1
Some really cool ridge hiking this morning, got some great views (pics above). Crossed the Eastern Continental Divide today, before that I came across a turtle who was also going northbound. Decided to try a method today where I cut the day in half (so I hiked 8mi), then set up my tent and slept for a couple hrs, then hiked the rest. I was able to sleep during the hottest part of the day, but then when I started hiking I caught the rain. Another shelter .3 off trail (doh) and a rainy night. Did find a nice flat spot though, so got some pretty decent sleep.
